Lookout for our full lab test in the coming months, but for now, enjoy this sample image gallery. Although we only a had a few days to spend with this lens, we’re extremely excited to put this new piece of Sigma glass through our testing process. The sample images in the gallery below were all taken with the 24-35mm mounted to a Canon 5D Mark III. The lens has a minimum aperture of F/16, which makes nailing landscape and sunset shots a little tricky, but at larger apertures it produces a very nice bokeh. Although the 24-35mm is quite a bit larger than either of the primes (it weighs just over two pounds) when it was mounted to a Canon 5D Mark III the weight was distributed very nicely. Sigma’s newest lens to the Art line didn’t disappoint. Having shot with both of these primes, I was very excited to see what the 24-35mm F/2 was like in the field. This wide angle zoom utilizes a lot of the same tech found in Sigma’s 24mm F/1.4 and 35mm F/1.4primes, each of which produced excellent results in our test lab and beautiful photos out in the field. Earlier this week we had a few days to shoot with Sigma’s new 24-35mm F/2 DG HSM Art Full-Frame Zoom Lens.
